The Team Behind Tiyata

Bruce Van Mook, Community Builder -  Bruce Van Mook is a 22-year resident of Pemberton. He and his wife raised their family here and plan to build their residence in Tiyata. Active in community politics and volunteerism, Bruce has been involved in other Pemberton construction projects including a mixed commercial/residential building in the heart of town.

Bruce is passionate about creating affordable and attractive housing. As a community builder, Bruce is committed to Smart Growth principles and designing greener neighbourhoods like Tiyata Village.

Don Nicolson, Architect -  A passionate green architect, Don Nicolson brings considerable skills to the creation of Tiyata Village. Well-versed in urban planning and project management, Don has more than 32 years architectural experience. A former partner in the Vancouver firm Nicolson Tamaki Architecture, and now principle architect of DNA/DonNicolsonArchitect, Don consults on a variety of issues affecting architectural design and community development

From creating community institutions to heading up re-zoning initiatives, Don employs an eco-sensibility grounded in Smart Growth principles. This commitment to sustainability will be reflected throughout Tiyata Village.
